Top tips on DE cluttering
The whole idea of living clutter-free
life is very inviting in itself. It’s always advantageous to have less physical
items around you, end result less time you invest in cleaning them; less time
used for organization, as a result, you are relieved of some physical and mental
Stress. An open space in your home is very calming, soothing and inviting. You don’t
need to take loans for these entities if you start practicing Minimalism.
Where to start de
cluttering?
Maybe you have given minimalism and decluttering a thought but the question where to start might have pushed you
back. You don’t need to be anxious about it just start from one corner, the one
cupboard, kitchen closet or maybe your medicine cabinet. The start of
minimalism or decluttering either of this should not be a painful or stressful start.
Start simple things will never be as complex as you thought. In my opinion, you
should give a chance to yourself once again and start fresh and simple.

How to start decluttering?
My suggestion would be don’t schedule it to a particular weekend just get started today maybe you will think I have not planned yet still get going and just make one
drawer from your dresser/closet clutter-free. You will feel happy about it. You
will get that needed motivation. Clutter around you is as irritating as the sound in the clip so get over it.

Do one at a time one item/ or one area depending on how
much time you want to reward to decluttering process on a given day.

Make a list of drawers/closet/room garden or any other area
that you want to make clutter-free. This will help in taking up the task one at
a time depending on how much time you have on that day.

Keep separate bags/ piles for donation, giveaway selling in
the thrift stores and not to forget recycling and trash.

First, fill out the trash bag when you start the process say
your bathroom closet.
·
Challenge yourself from your closet find 10 pieces to
donate, 10 pieces to recycle and 10 pieces to sell for some penny. You are
sorted on 30 items from your closet. Encourage your family to take the same challenge
maybe your better half will not reciprocate saying you have all the mess in
there because you have more stuff. In that situation, you can convince him to
take the challenge for 5 pieces only.

Appreciate yourself give yourself a gift when a few tasks are
done and here I suggest the gift shouldn’t be preferably and item reward yourself
with a movie night.

Take pictures of before and after that will keep you
motivated to the other areas. Maybe if you are comfortable and have no issues
with sharing your personal space on social media you can share to get some more
appreciation from friends and family.
A minimalist life starts with removing
clutter, living in a clutter-free area. So decluttering is your first move to minimalism.
But you shouldn’t be worried here your minimalism and your idea of clutter-free the home may be different from your neighbor or your boss or your mum. “Minimalism
is a process for yourself by yourself” so you are free to have your own way of
de-cluttering. What I am sharing in this post is just a pattern or way of doing it
you can put in your own flavors to it.
