Who is a mindful eater it can be you if you choose to do so? 

Mindful is being in the present and focusing on your mind, body, and soul. It is the moment of acceptance with a calm and composed mind. Mindful living/mindfulness is not being lost in your past or future. Healthy living is an aspect of mindful living; you should eat your food with equal love and passion.  Healthy mindful eating is my new found love as well because it's beyond me and beyond any other individual. What we consume affects our food chain and the world as a whole. "Be a mindful eater".

Principles of Mindful eating:

  •  Identifying the hunger stimuli - are you really hungry or you just feel like eating?
  • listen to your body- don't overeat.
  • Eat slowly - you shouldn't distract yourself while eating(avoid screen-times while you eat).
  • Feel the food. Know your food better. 
  • Eat for well being and eat what is healthy for you according to your age and health condition.
  • Don't get anxious about food. We see beautiful pictures and get attracted to eat more.
  • Show gratitude to the food and GOD.

My favorite benefits of Mindful eating:

  1. You will learn to eat when you are actually hungry.
  2. You will start enjoying healthy food.
  3. you will stay away from junk food, which is slowing down your metabolism and causing many health-related problems, including weight gain.
  4. "Depressed and eating, you will stop that". Eating while you are depressed makes you gain more weight.
  5.  With time you will eat mindfully at parties as well.


It would act as a support system to gain control of eating habits and help you to keep a check on your weight and overall health. This can work wonders if you start practicing it and you will never feel the need to follow those famous diets that you have tried and failed a million times.
